Governance & quality

We are committed to delivering high quality care and maintain systems and processes to monitor the effectiveness and quality of the services that we provide. Our governance structure, primarily overseen by a Clinical Governance Committee and a senior leadership team, actively monitors:

  • Board assurance and accountability, including information governance
  • Business continuity, emergency preparedness, resilience and response
  • Clinical audit and service evaluation
  • Clinical/corporate risk management
  • Infection prevention & control
  • Quality reporting
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Workforce race equality standards

We also monitor incidents/accidents through a patient safety team who meet regularly to review incident reports and collectively extract lessons learned which are then disseminated across the organisation. Learning from compliments and complaints is also actively distributed and acted upon.
